Alex, I think I would have tried cropping the left hand side so that the trunk "elbow" just clipped the edge. I think this would provide a good frame for the image. At present I feel it it breaks up the frame and interferes with my eye travelling around the shot.

Having said that, I like the shot and think the colours are excellent.

Alex, I know what Brian is saying, but for once I don't agree about the crop Smile
I've tried sliding it 'off screen' to get the effect, but for me it loses too much - part of the purple maple and the red bush by the elbow. My eyes do flit from left to right and vice versa but I find it evenly balanced. Lucky we don't all see things the same way Grin
