From Team to Tyne

By Barbaraj
An attempt at a Landscape showing the River Team flowing into the River Tyne. It is down in Dunston and both rivers were high. The wooden structure is the Dunston staithes built of wood jutting out into the river used years ago to take coal to the ships.

It is tidal up to here on the Tyne and yet some new houses are just behind me as I take the photo. So they could be on a flood plain.

Good shot, we've walked along near here several times recently but I haven't got a decent picture.
I find the positioning of the new housing along there absolutely terrifying.

Splendid composition making use of the curving staith. We have only just begun to venture round here.

Thank you everyone for your comments. Ray, the photo must bring back memories, and yes Moira I would not live so close to the river.
