From the ebb to the far reaches of the Galaxy!

I scouted this location earlier in the day hoping for a clear sky at night for photographing the Milky Way. I headed back 12 hours later with the tide out again.

Back at the Hubie burn late on, clambering over the rocks. A good flow of water flowing from the burn mouth. The sky never totally cleared, but as it turned out the low cloud adds to this shot and gives a sense of the expanse of space above and how thin that layer of atmosphere is that we survive in.

This picture was taken on the Island of Fetlar in Shetland.
