Taken on rout to Snowdonia. this tree stood out and was dyeing to be photographed.
I used my Eos 40D with a 100-300mm lens and a F6.7 (+1 stop) to capture my basic shot and 2 more frames, 1 stop bracket either side to use.
The 3 frames were combined together in Photoshop layers for the lighter and darker areas.

The tree is so wonderful that I might be inclined to crop it around the top half where the three lines are. Anything to concentrate attention onto that lovely tree

I totaly agree with the crop. I have croped the top off, just below the highlight in the snow.. shame on me I posted the wrong one....oppps.
