Frosted Hogweed

By FeePhoto
Taken on a freezing cold day with a low sun and plenty of mist. Fed up peering out the office window and wishing I was outside with my camera, I pleaded with my boss and she finally relented so off I ran before she could change her mind!

I had a brilliant couple of hours before the sun went down, got cold and wet wandering around in the long, frosty grass but it was so worth it - a great day!

Please view large if you can - it does make a difference, and thanks for looking. This is the same reservoir where Gomez took http://www.ephotozine.com/u50491/gallery/772756.

Tripod mounted, ISO 100, f/18, 1/40 sec @ 84 mm.

Brrrrrrrrr! Great shot, effort well rewarded.

I suppose you'll be wanting this printed and a mount cut, for future competitions !?

I like the backlit quality of this image. The recession of tones is also superb.
Well done!

Thanks all for you comments, clicks and the modifications. I did consider playing around a little with the contrast and levels but decided to post the shot I'd seen and taken, not a variation on that - old fashioned, I know, but that's me!!

Franfoto - I said I got cold and wet but I honestly didn't notice that at the time as I was enjoying the great light so much!

Thanks again.
