Frozen Trees

By SimPick
Wasn't sure about uploading this one. It MUST be viewed large, or it looks not so good.
Anyway, it is an image of a clump of trees on the side of a hill, and, well, I like it. I love the messiness and confusion of it all. Hope you do to.

Now this is really very good indeed, Simon. In fact, it's exactly the sort of thing I like to do. I think you did a great job just seeing this in the first place.

Actually, I'd be tempted to go for a square crop and lose the fir trees at the bottom to make it more abstract.

Of course, don't expect it to do well here since it's not an over-processed coastal sunset... Wink

I like this very much. you've got a great image here.
Reminds me of the closing sequence of the movie "Dances with wolves" when he rode off with his wife and baby. Wonderfully fresh image with so much to see and enjoy, a wall hanger for sure.

Sadly I think Joolsb may be correct.

Thanks guys. Much appreciated. I knew it wouldn't get many votes, but I thought it worth sharing for those who may have apprciated it, because I love it. So much to see in this image and my eyes are always flitting around it trying to make things out, and surely that is the proof that it's an interesting image.
To tell you the truth, I did upload this once before and it got no votes or comments, so I took it off. I thought it worth another go now I have e2 and can show a larger version. I think the main trouble is that it makes for a messy thumbnail in the user gallery. But saying that, it's had 19 unique views so far and only 6 votes, so maybe Jools is right and it's just not the ePz taste.
Anyway, votes or no votes, I love it. And to get such nice comments from three people who all have such great PF's, helps to reinforce what I believed and makes the low vote count irrelevant. I'd rather get a few votes from photographers that who's work I admire, and also aspire to.

So, thanks all.
