Fuel Station

By dark_lord
Going back 30 years again for this week's Film Friday. Given it's a fast film I don't think the sharpness and grain are that bad.
If you're of a nervous disposition don't look at the fuel prices.
Canon T90, Scotch 640T tungsten film. January 1991

Thank you for your appreciation of Alone and Endangered, and to jacomes, Leo_nid, bricurtis, mac and KingBee for their UAs.

I paid 1.66euros (1.42) a litre for 95 octane today, Fuel prices have gone up here recently too, but no shortages. Fortunately our C-HR hybrid drinks 4.8l per 100kms, equivalent to 61 miles per gallon, and we don't use it every day.

I think its pretty decent.

Here its 0.83 sterling per litre, 89 octane. And my Toyota Corolla SE with the new 2.0 litre engine has achieved 4.6 l/100 km over a 200 kilometer trip, - and its not a hybrid! Its usually under 5.5.

A garage with no queues, it must be in the past, and even more so when you look at the fuel prices. Good quality for a night shot.

Some most likely thought it expensive then ! Great shot Keith & yes so unusual to see it empty of customers.

I just love this, Keith. It's not so much that it's old (well, relatively): it's just that it reminds me of an image shot in 1976 by the renowned American street photographer, Joel Meyerowitz , entitled " Dairyland, Provincetown, Cape Cod." Superb, hence my UA today.
