Fulmar Following

By rontear
These oceanic birds follow ships whever they are, this is the Arctic variation ( we have our own seen on most cliffs around the uk where they breed ) The Arctic Ocean is full of food for these to feed. This individual is photographed against the ships wake and a choppy sea.

Gulls know where to find food and a free ride on the wind created by the ships passing. They can soar for hours without using any energy. Well spotted and a quiet moment in the fantastic voyage full of action images from the wonderful land we'd all love to visit with out camera.
