Fun at the Fair

By clevercloggs
one of the main attractions was this machine, whereby you are swirled faster and faster around in a vertical circle (it is always a circle).

i tried panning this thing at full speed but could not get that under control..
so you have to do with an image, when the machine just about starts rolling.. it is then slowly moving and so it is easier to follow.
the people in the seats are still relaxed and full of anticipation of the thrill they are about to undergo.

all comments welcome, best seen large.

Something to do with having a fixed point and a radius, RobertWink
A great job stopping the action at a 1/60th!
I tried a similar low PoV at Alton Towers, years ago, the lens hood didn't do too much of a good job at stopping what one of the passengers "ejected"Sad

Hi Mike,

so much variation on moving around a circle... and we never seem tired of the thrills these variations bring us..

thank you for that.
although at moments like that i leave it to the camera. Although i do have the time set on manual..i was looking for a bit of blurr in the back ground, to make sure that there was a sensation of movement..which to be fair did not fully work as the cabin/gondola should be unsharp but the people inside shouldn't..
