Fun Friday Challenge

By Pete
On Friday's we have started a fun challenge. You download the picture that's posted by last week's winner and enhance it. You can either do a funny photo or try and improve it.

As I won last week I select the shot. It was taken at Anston Steam fair last year. There's already a version in my portfolio of what I did to improve it's up to you.

Post the edited photos up here in the modify upload link below. I will pick the winner tomorrow.

Photo Critique -

Pete, am I seeing things, or is the image sharper at the back than at the Brasso tin?

Some great work there and several that made me laugh, but there can only be one winner who is....Pauline (photopharm) with her "The Girlies Strike Back!" An excellent take on the subject. Anthony came a close second with his Chrome filter treatment. Thanks all that was good fun...
Next week, it's Pauline's turn to upload oneSmile

Thanks Pete, and everyone. My vote was for mattmatic's. I thought that was really good.

I really was stumped when I saw the challenge . Firstly because it was such a different image to anything that I have taken, and secondly because my PS skills are in their infancy (I only have Elements 2, and am just learning to use that).

Method: I did the only thing that I could, I went painting! The overlay brush was really useful used at about 38% opacity. The distort tool worked well on the glass, and replace colour worked to turn the glass pink. The text on the cans was erased with the clone tool and rewritten with a bulge to echo the can shape. Lastly I pinched a pair of sunglasses from the internet and after pinking them up, reduced them, tilted then pasted them in.
Now, off to find an image for next week.
