Fungi, Funguy.

By raywalker
There must be many possible titles or captions for this collage of fungi spotted at Wentworth Castle, Barnsley, yesterday.
I'm not sure what the next stage is , but I could hazard a guess.
Not sure whether this should be in adult section.

You found some stinkhorns ( phallus impudicus) .
great find and well captured.
Edible at egg stage. Full of spores by olive tip stage never eat them unless at egg stage.

Look out for red tip ones. They are dog stinkhorns and look ruder. They are inedible at egg or any other stage.
