Fungi With My Fun Guy 4

By LynneJoyce
Most of the fungi are dying back now so time to post more of my fungi images. They proved to be excellent models so I shall look forward to Autumn next year armed with the knowledge of what grows where, provided that I don't break my leg again! This is the penultimate set for this year.

Ansel is a good boy now (long may it last) so he no longer rampages totally unrestrained, trampling everything in his way. Several specimens were saved by his new found ability to obey commands. I wonder if I could train him to sniff out specimens for next year?

The opener features everyone's favourite, Amanita Muscaria a.k.a. Fly Agaric. The rest are - fungi! Thank you for viewing and I hope that you enjoy at least some of these images.

Certain dogs like Spaniels and Labradors have a highly sensitive sense of smell and can be trained to forage for Mushrooms, Truffles etc. A friend of mine does just that, and in turn has quite a lucrative business selling his findings to local restaurants. Good luck next year. Another wonderful series Lynne.

It's reminded me, I wonder what's happened to Ronnie, fungi were his specialist subject - not seen him on here for ages... 😟
