Just messing around with some still life today. Trying to get a "High Key" feel to this shot.

Mark, I love the textures & different colours in this shot but find it distracting that the Chilli? (don't do cooking sorry) is cut off, could you make it even more high key by using the white dropper in curves on the background? (Not explained that very well have I? Smile Jane

Thanks Jane, yes I was in a bit of a dilemma about the chilli. I did however take a couple of shots with the chilli at a different angle. I might put one of those up.

i like this shot
for me its a nice clean crisp shot
however i do agree about the chilli but if it was ment to be cropped i would have gone for a tighter crop and taken a small portion of that white looking thingy whatever it is Wink

LOOOL its funny really as my first ever photo was a still of fruit n veg and won me 1st place in my cam club and looking back on it now it was nowhere as good as this but it won really as it was different from the rest of the crowd and now all i do really is landscapes and have caught the togging bug Tongue

but ur shot is great keep up the good work

Thanks Phills. I think I will redo the shot and either to a tighter crop or include the whole chilli. Thanks for the comment.
