Galeries Royales St Hubert

By TrevBatWCC
After the coach tour around Brussels and district, we had a couple of hours or so to explore on foot the centre of Brussels. A couple of minutes' walk from the Cathedral takes you into the old part of the town, with its medieval buildings. Had a walk through here, the Galeries Royales St Hubert shopping arcade and took a few shots between drooling over the delightful goodies they had on sale. V2 & V3 were taken with the fish-eye lens.

Single Raw images processed in Adobe Camera Raw 7, tweaked in Photomatix Pro 5 and Photoshop Elements 11.

Thanks again to everyone for your votes & comments on my previous uploads, it really is appreciated and encouraging.

Never been too keen on fisheye lens shots, but V1 is really good and once again your tweaking makes such a difference. The pigeon in front is a great addition to the overall picture and for that reason you get my award

I remember taking a few photos in there myself, Trev. More distinctly, I remember venturing into a chocolatier there - - - the best Belgian chocolate is not quite so expensive as a new camera but infinitely more fattening Sad Blush

I love the fish-eye effect, but V1 has the pigeon and that's a wonderful detail. The innocent intruder wandering into the marble halls...

Thinking about getting a fish-eye but the jury is still out. v1 the strongest for me, I like the verticality (!) and the pigeon of course.

V 1 is excellent with the verticals precisely so, but I do like the effect captured with your fish eye lens, Trev.

Feel I need my sea legs to navigate V2 & V3 Trev but the effect is very good. Think I stroll down V1.. The verticals are spot on.

Not a fisheye fan but I hope I can recognise the skills involved at the editing stage.

I do like V1, not really a fan of fish eye shots though
