Another from my recent visit to Heraklion.
An old lady begs passers by for change as she rests for a moment in a shaded doorway. The sun , even this late in October, is baking. Ten metres to her right is the the fountain that signifies the central hub of the cities shopping district. She is surrounded by cafes and hundreds of people pass through. People look, what is doing and what she wants is recognised, some give, but most pass by. Others, perhaps, even doubt her. None, not even I, see the person or the story behind the begging cup.
