Garden Helper

By Overread
f5, ISO 200, 1/640sec - shot at 70mm end

We all need a little help in the garden from time to time. This is a little juvenile robin who came to help me dig over a patch of the garden last year (though I think he was more interested in stealing the unearthed bugs). Coming very close (almost touching range) to me as I worked I decided to get the camera for some close shots. Of course as soon as thebig white monster appeared he shot off to a nearby tree. However the lure of worms and other beasties soon had him back on the ground.

Shooting was actually tricky because a lot of the time he would hop too close for the lens to be able to focus on him.

Any crits/comments/advice welcome thank you

very nice shot, lovely sharpness...

Wonderful sharp image here, the white paper? is slightly distracting but can of course be dealt with easily enough.
