Without the metal clasp you have a fine abstract, like an aerial image of the grand canyon? The rust admirers will have gasped with amazement about the clasp I'm sure.

Nice work and something I hope to investigate soon.

Lovely patterns and textures- and the clasp is beautiful in its own right too. Lovely light.

A lesson to folks (of whom I am one sometimes ) to look and see and not just to look.

Many thanks everyone, for the nice feedback....much appreciated......

I was smitten by the shapes & detail in this old post, & I deliberately included the latch....I feel it is an intrinsic part of the image, as it establishes the timber as a gatepost, but it also adds
colour, texture, & a bit of added 'character' to the shot....& I like a bit of rust anyway, it can be very 'photogenic' given the right subject.....funny old me, eh !.Wink
