That's my sort of gate (non functional but decoratve in a rustic sort of fashion). Love the cows too. Altogether a very pleasing, warm image.

A super composition, but what a shame the gate wasn't an old fashioned wooden 5-bar gate! Carol

Such a bucolic scene...I think the cows add just the right touch of reality, without them it would seem like just an empty place.

A great composition John and for me the cows definately add to the shot. As a matter of interest are the black areas above and below meant to be there? For me they are very distracting.
Many thanks for your comment on Bramshill, as always very welcome. I have just added another shot which I would welcome your thoughts on.
Best wishes
Derek

I'm a sucker for a mossy farm fence & an open gate.
That this image is so well framed and that the eye-leading gate is also broken and directing right up to those gorgeous cows on the horizon, makes this another very appealing image to me.
"Nice capture"
Regards
Janet
