I have just come home after spending a week with my daughter in the Cotswolds....apologies for lack of activity on my part re viewing images and voting/commenting. Was kept busy looking after my one year old grandson!!
However on the way down I visited Wild Arena , thanks to Lillian's advice and spent a wonderful morning trying to learn all about macro photography. I wished it could have been longer and I could have taken more photos but here are a few of a gecko. As always, thank you so much for looking and hope to learn from your comments.

Thats an amazing eye! You have a good teacher there with Lillian.

Tried a mod of V1, - sometimes these can look a little better with slightly lower contrast.

A good morning's work I'd say Ann.
Great images of the Gecko - the eye is fantastic.
Superb detail - Willies' mod is good - I tend to over sharpen images - always learning.

I like Vs 2 and 3 because you have a nice plain background behind the heads.

Hi Ann.

Screen shots 1-7 are uploaded to show the steps taken to reduce contrast, yellow saturation, and sharpen the eye.

Al screenshots are using CS6, but your CS3 will be the same, though appearance will be different.

Hope this is helpful,
