Giant's ring 1

The Giant's Ring is a henge monument at Ballynahatty, near Shaw's Bridge, Belfast, Northern Ireland. It consists of a circular enclosure, 200 m in diameter, surrounded with an 4 m high earthwork bank with five entrances, and a small neolithic passage grave slightly off-centre. The tomb is believed to date from ca. 3000 BC, and the bank slightly later. It can be viewed plainly using Google Earth at 54 deg 32 min North and 5 deg 56 min West. The enclosure with passage tomb known as the Giant's Ring is a State Care Historic Monument sited in the townland of Ballynahatty.

Good shot again John. You've honestly left the little imperfections in such as the flare and the halo on the edge of the tree but that doesn't detract too much from the shot. Maybe it's worth another visit with it's autumnal colours, let me know.

Well Sean, I thought I would try blending a multiple exposure like we were talking about. It is my first attempt at this type of presentation, I don't think its too bad...?

Looks good to me! lens flare adds to the image overall I think. For me the tree trunk is a little too bright, but the shot has plenty of impact, has a kind of Lords of the rings type feel to it.

Glad to make it 30 for your RC.
