Powerful. There is a similar ambiguity here to the previous upload, uncertainty and hesitation among the foreground rocks, one lone leader gazing longingly at the horizon.

The dark line on the horizon works better for me here, I guess because there isn't an obvious land mass rising above it.

At the risk of sounding predictable I'm going to suggest another square crop. Again I think the left side of the frame is stronger than the right, and can give a more concentrated impact. I have cheated slightly and moved the small rock on the right a few pixels...

Moira! Thank you for your comments. I am always very sorry to cut off part of the space, as if I had to lose something or want to correct an error in the original composition. So it was necessary to me before making the composition more accurately.

Don't think of it as correcting an error, to me it's about seeing a different aspect of the original.

Its a nice moody shot. I like the square crop, but worked with it as is with the customary tweaks using two layers.

Nice light for so late in the evening too.

Thanks Willie behind your science. Your options are always more worked through in light and color. This I have to admit. Layers and masks is terra incognito for me now. It is necessary to master it.

On cropping...

The problem is that real life isn't all in 3x2 sections: some of it is square, some panoramic.

So I view the negative/digital file as a starting point, as is the format of the printing paper. Often, you can use a standard: at other times, cropping is right.

It's true: not always 3: 2 - an ideal variant, can be the priority of the square or 16: 9. Jast for me it is difficult to cut the beauty of nature.

I have several books about photo processing and Photoshop, but I can not read one page - going crazy by these instructions.

The books are not easy. What is much easier is to watch a Youtube video, and there are many good ones. The ones I see are in English, so you may be ok with them; there are some also in Russian I believe; my grandson, who is 4, watches movies on Youtube about trucks, and they are all in Russian! He prefers them to English.
