Glastonbury Tor

By Matman
I am a bit anoyed at myself for this one as I think I could have got a really nice shot here!

Let me know what you think but I basically did not have the right lens on and should have changed it to compress the perspective a bit more, bringing the focal point of the Tor more into play!!

Anyway, it was a very nice sky last night and so thought I would post despite the cockup!!...Smile

Cheers all, and have a cracking weekend!

Stunning sky! Landscape pictures are often taken in 'horizontal' mode which gives that sense of space. I still have problems with that as well, I also like to take landscape pictures in the portrait format but despite my efforts I also do not get it to work right.
And some of the magic happens with the 10-20 mm lens which creates the distortion that enhances the perspective. Bought one for my husband - should have kept it for myself.... Smile

Did you take a landscape version? I'm sure this would look better that way, with most of the f/g removed so the viewer is able to concentrate on the lovely sky and the shape of the sillhouetted tor.

Thanks for the comments you two...Smile

I didn't think it would bomb to just 8 votes but there you go!

Hi Mike,

I did take a landscape as well but won't be posting it here. I have developed a lack of enthusiasm...Smile

Nice but a little distant - needs to (perhaps) be partnered with something like this. Wink
