Shot captured two days ago while out birding at the Salina Nature Reserve.
After the festive season, I got down to doing some birding at our local nature reserve over the past couple of days. Unusual fine weather this time of the year helped my spirits as I packed my gear and headed for the mudflats. After an early afternoon lull, I spotted this male Mallard crossing the creek and honed in on him as he twisted glistening in the low sunlight as he did ..... a short quick burst did the rest. Rather pleased with the end frame given the tricky exposure conditions.
Viewing large looks better.
