Poor thing looks worried sick, Lillian, I don't think it was very impressed with walking on the grass for all the togs. I think it was asking you to pick it up and put it on a proper perch Smile

A lovely bird indeed, and very well photographed, Lillian !
I remember rescuing a baby Eagle owl from drowning in one of the sludge dams I operated. It was just a couple of days old, and as tame as anything. I placed it on the bookcase above my head, where it stood stock still all morning, just now and again giving a slow blink. I had a girl rep, who came in, and attempted to sell me something. She launched into her spiel, all fire enthusiasm, but halfway through, lost it completely, and returned to the beginning, making a hopeless fluff of it ! I could see that she was looking past me, in horrified fascination at Hop Harrigan, as I had named the little owl, and knew exactly what had happened. I pretended nothing was going on at all, until she asked me in a wobbly voice, whether I had some cold water and an Aspirin for her. She told me in a tiny voice that she was sure she was suffering from hallucinations, as my little statuette was bllnking at her !!. All was well, as I eventually explained to her what had happened ! (heh heh) Regards Martin.
