Nice detail on the goldcrest but the BG looks a little busy, maybe try a shallower DOF if given the change to have another go sometime.

But you try a crop from the bottom to take out the out of focus branch it distracts a bit from the bird

This is the typical environment to find these as well as conifers, so the vegetation shows it in its natural habitat. Also with the bg so close to the Goldcrest dof would do nothing.
IMHO this is a super capture of a very difficult bird to get

A great image of a very difficult bird to photograph, for those who have never had the pleasure of trying.

Would of been nice for a white BG but this is a live natural picture with the bird in its natural environment. Very well done.
