Golden Birch...

By Scottishlandscapes
...I first shot this tree a few months ago and at the time it struck me that it would suit it's coat of Autumnal colours, so her it is with yellow leaves. It's at the top of Glen Ogle on the way to Killin.

The older image is HERE, http://www.ephotozine.com/user/scottishlandscapes-23846/gallery/photo/glen-ogle----25820826

I had been tagging images from this area in Perthshire, I;m told that it should be Stirlingshire, I'll be refiling them. Smile

I think we form attachments to certain trees...
I prefer this to the earlier upload - subtler colours, a sadder feel. I guess that's autumn rather than spring.

Spot-on assessment of the seasonal possibilities, Dougie.
I too prefer the tighter concentration on the tree, suggestive of Autumn closing in perhaps.
My favourite season.

Very posh in Scotland....We just have Silver Birch South of the border. That's what photography is all about Dougie..knowing when the subject is going to look it's best. and you have succeeded.

I really like the autumnal look Dougie and remember vividly your other image in the spring - and some sunlight to light up the valley and enhance the colours.

Man can build a viaduct, but ask him to build a birch tree. On°y Nature can do that, Dougie.
