morning Cornelia, i'm first in on this one, it works for me in BW, I like the person in the foreground it gives the scene extra depth!

Beautiful b/w image. Looks so peaceful with excellent composition.

When I convert to greyscale I usually increase brightness + 5 and contrast +7; then play around taking either up slightly or down till I think it looks ok.

Not easy turning things to black and white - i haven't found the complete knack to it yet, but this might need a bit of oompf from some contrast I think.

Love the image though.

good shot and composition.I usualy set the scale to 60 red 60 green 20 blue as a starter take a look at my B/W shots. well done .andy b

very nice shot. I think the origional is very nice as well. Perhaps you can make the b/w a bit grainy, to give it an old time photo feel to it, thats my thoughts, very nice shot

I like it too. I would add that there seems to be some light 'halos' around the person and the background mountians on the left. It could be my monitor. Can you see them?
