Good grief! You really made me jump!

Mr Pheasant looking a bit peeved at being disturbed while looking for food under the dead leaves.

Good times to all,
Dave.

Excellent Pheasant capture showing the beautiful plumage colours.I wonder perhaps if the composition would not be improved if you had not cropped quite so closely particularly in front of the bird.At the monemt his nose/beak is almost touching the frame; he ought to have a little more room ahead of him to move into. It may be of course that your original shot will not allow a change of crop in which case there is little you can do about it. But if you can then it may be worth a try.
As always these are just my opinions and in no way to be regarded as criticism.

Aren't they gorgeous, Dave! Is this Dougal or one of his friends? Great detail and colors. From the neck down, he is superbly camouflaged.

Always appreciate any comments and critique, Ron. Am just a bit curious about large views and different browsers...on my screen there is about 3/4 of an inch or slightly more, between his beak and the left edge of the frame. How is it on your screen? I do understand your point, but on my screen there is a substantial (for me anyway) gap on the LHS.
Kind regards,
Dave.
