Good Old Days

By NevJB
Been meaning to take a picture of this for years and never got around to it until yesterday. We've lived in Kelvedon for 25+ years where this window has remained unchanged - I think the building (now residential) used to be a chemist shop - but even that was before we moved into the village. It amuses me that it's lasted so long.

Taken for the sake of village history as much as anything and a reminder of times past.

Have processed it as a 'pop' to make the Kodak ad stand out more.

A nice little bit of nostalgia here, and why not?
In the early days of motoring, long before the age of petrol filling stations and jerrycans, chemists' shops were the normal source of petrol. And I still have on my bookshelves a few volumes my father purchased from Boot's Lending Library in the early 1950s.

I agree... The final step would have been to shoot on Kodacolor...
