Happy New Year to everyone, I hope you enjoyed the celebrations and didn't have too bad a hangover yesterday. No such worries in our house as myself and MrsS forewent the previous night's celebrations and opted for sunrise in the Yorkshire Dales.
We had a couple of options in mind, but as we arrived at our first choice, it soon became apparent that any chance of sunrise was going to be blighted by low cloud and/or fog. So with this in mind and having built in a little time, we set off on a 20 mile journey to Malham instead. This was also blighted by low cloud and/or fog for sunrise and up to an hour after.
Feeling a little dejected, we made our way to Gordale Scar, which was flowing nicely. An hour or so later, we were both a little spent and headed for the nearest 'Scottish Deli' - more popularly know as McDonalds for some much needed sustenance.
