Gordale Scar

By stevenj
After our breakfast at the cafe in Malham, we walked up to the Scar where there was a strong whirling wind blowing the spray all over the place.

Decided to post the one without the people risking their lives climbing up the waterfall!

Was one windy location though which has proved a beggar with absolute sharpness.

Nice one Steven. The light is perhaps a little flat but on the other hand that is what it was like.

In your technical details you missed off wind speed!

I know ... said it on purpose after yesterday's Faux Pas, you could make things easier for me and move though ;-D

Nice to hear even the pro's suffer in those conditions, and it ain't just me!!

You're right Ian, it is flat. But with so much grey around that's the way it was.

Paul, don't you remember it going very still and calm as we walked back from the Scar and Keith walked towards it?! :o)

Yeah, like bloody Moses parting the Red Sea ... mind you, he's probably old enough to have been there for that one as well, knowing Keith, he'll have got a couple of saleable parchments too ;-D

Can't think of much feedback to give apart from 'nice one', so err, 'Nice one'!

a classic view - think I was first to this Smile Closely followed by Paul I seem to remember. you get the full path of the water and no spray Smile

Exposure seems spot on - did you meter off the water?

Think I spot metered off that rock on the front right of shot. Unless I was accidentally in evaluative.
