I like the effect and the original Gormley statue image is lovely by itself. I taught in Bootle and one of my ex-pupils was apparently one of the people responsible for having the Gormley statues made a permanent feature as it was originally intended that they be a temporary exhibition. They are certainly a great addition to Crosby and well worth visiting. I must get down there myself with a camera!

Thanks Norm, yes fifteen years on and I'm still shooting the things a fair few of them recently (last September) had remedial work carried out which consisted of some being mounted on new stronger piling that said and as you referred to the original idea was for a temporary installation so the original installation work was certainly a success. they still divide opinions with some folk really not liking them one bit.
