Graceful take-off

By KingArthur
Shot captured last April while doing my rounds on a productive late afternoon down by the water's edge.

With the camera set and prepared, I was eyeing this juvenile Mallard through my viewfinder and, sensing that it was about to make a rapid take-off, zoomed in on it ..... releasing the shutter just as it scrambled into action. Really pleased with this frozen moment, the camera/lens combo delivering really well when I needed most ..... turned out to be one of my shots of the day too!

Viewing large looks even better.
