Graffiti, Newcastle

By whatriveristhis
This is the original colour version of a Black & White image I uploaded last Summer. This was on the side of a derelict building immediately behind a busy thoroughfare in the City centre. Neither the graffiti nor the building now exist.

Thanks to those who voted/commented on "smoke..", and to Nigel for his UA...much appreciated.
Thanks also to Mark for his Award on "Curve."

There are two more images to complete this set.

I have felt compelled to look at this for some time, sure sign of an effective image.

And when you look the single eye stares back, implacable.
Love the touch of pink!

Very good. Old Gateshead had its charms. I suppose.

Always seems that these `graffiti' artists are wasting their talents Smile

Lots to see in this Alan. For some reason reminds me of a prison cell. Must be the bars.

The random phrases and imagery reminds me of 'I Am A Walrus'

Well seen on your part and so many artists out there
whose talent has never been channelled into something constructive.

remarkable.. maybe the best in graffiti seen so far.. i appreciate the use of the gate and the darker inside, which breaks the flatness which would have otherwise crept in.. could i have done it? I can't say.. very inspirational.. and it tell it too that one needs to give some time with a cool head, not in a hurried restlessness..
aesthetic? very.. in fact it is too good to be believable.. maybe you hired a painter and a kid to make it.. Smile
shortlisted.. only the fourth one in 4 days..
