Because the current pandemic has meant that my grandson¬’s University term has been spent studying at home, we see him only rarely.
I shot my last mono portrait of him when he was around 12 years old....oh! Boy....what a difference just six years make....we can hardly believe that this is him now......what a change?

He managed to find time to drive across to see us with his dad yesterday; it was great to catch up with all of his news and adventures....

I am having great difficulty faulting my LUMIX GX9 set to the M-MONOCHROME-L mode... with its setting adjusts to suit me. I feel it can challenge any Leica...except perhaps on eventual print sizes...but who wants a wall size family photograph ?

Other versions included.

Lovely set Cyril.
V1 for me - excellent portraits.

I used to have the 45mm Olympus lens, it's really nice for portraits.

A powerful mono. The side lighting suits a male model perfectly. Lucky you having such a photogenic grandson for your model!

Excellent set of porttraits, Cyril. I prefer the lead and V!, the lighting gives a nice moody ambience and suits your grandson's features.

What a handsome young man. It is frightening growing up in these times.
I love the lead especially.
