Granny's attic

By KingBee
First, if anyone's interested, I have now managed - thanks to Moira (Mrs Woolybill) - to upload the original photograph which resulted in yesterday's image, "Yvonne's mum". If you have a look at this you'll get a better idea of what can be achieved using the process I outlined in my narrative. Thanks to all who visited and for the very lovely comments.

Today's image (title borrowed from Nik's HDR effect of that name, not used here) takes us back to Durham - indeed, back in time - to the former Jack Will's shop on Saddler Street. The shop, which used to sell vintage sportswear, beachwear and classic British public school style togs, is now an independent retro fashion affair. The Woolies will doubtless remember it in its earlier incarnation.

If I remember rightly it was, in its previous incarnation, the place where you bought your college scarf.
Doesn't look as though the place has changed much apart from the stock...

Perhaps not many would think a picture of a clothes shop would have much promise, but you've found a different point of view which makes this quite fascinating, Bob. There's a warmth to the image which makes me want to wander around there.
