Many thanks for c&C so far. Paul (Tug), what you may be seeing is the very slight halo effect that I can't quite eliminate using Photomatix. Anyone with any fixes, please let me know ;>}

Great shot but got to agreee with Tug--however i think the colours in the blues are a bit strong.
As said really good image.

OK, thanks for the additional c&C. I am getting the message that there is a problem with the blues. The HDR/tone mapping does alter things & I did tweak the levels differentially, top & bottom, using PS. I didn't alter any colours, however, other than the overall saturation setting, so I'm a bit unsure what has caused the mismatch. Will try to do better in future ;>} Thanks for the honest comments.

Excellent, poetry in perspective and balanced lighting levels to show off everything. I don't recall your earlier posting, but the Tone Mapping has surely made this one what it is: excellent. Takes me back to my youth!

Fantastic contrast, composition and colour!

The strength of the blue isn't really an issue here.

I feel it is neatly echoed by the strength of the green, which cuts in diagonally in the form of the right-hand hillside.

Many thanks for the added c&C. I'm glad the relatively vivid colours work for a number of you & the comments are very encouraging.

One problem with the tone mapping, I think, is that it changes the appearance of skies, making them more saturated than we are used to (unless grad filters are used). Also, as in this one, the lightening of tone toward the horizon looks like a change in hue, which is different to the darker less greeny blue reflected from overhead in the water. This effect seems to vary with different monitors, which is perhaps why comments vary (as does personal taste).

The great thing about this site is that one can try things out & get rapid feedback. Thanks again for taking the time to provide that.

The cloud shadows were the first thing I noticed, good depth to the shot too.

Terrific Colour and tonal balance with a nice regression from the stones in the foreground to the far distance in spite of the overall sharpness of the image.
