Great Spotted Woodpecker

Came across this GSW last Saturday (It was actually my mate Roger who shown me where to find herSmile)
It has had a good crop and admittedly the picture quality isn't the greatest but if viewed on the 'normal' setting they look ok. Next time I go I will be better prepared and will try and get a little closer and get a better picture.

They are not easy to get close to, for quite a large bird they are very timid so well done.

since you wont give your self credit i will, as you say we was not prepared and she knew we was there and never posed more than a few seconds the lighting was not the best, your images came out miles better than mine. mine art even worth editing i would have been very pleased with your images. but next time we will be better prepared......... so from me Ryan a big well done m8.TongueSmileGrinSmile
