Hi Phil
I feel the Great tit doesn't look comfortable on your great perch although it shows some character of the bird I feel a more perched individual may do the shot more justice

Only my opinion but I may share the same perspective as the judge😳

Thanks Steve, Yes I can see what you are saying, I thought it's a bit different from the normal stance. I have plenty of 'normal' ones from the day out yesterday and will also be submitting them, tbh I need 8 images and only started bird photography to this level about a week ago so I dont have too many to choose from, Here is another one at this link which is a bot out of teh ordinary, what do you think Steve? Many thanks again for another viewpoint..Phil

Hi There,
I really like the off-balance pose, it's what drew me to look! Beautifully sharp shot too GrinGrinGrinGrin
Great to be a little different sometimes! You go for it Phil Wink

Nothing wrong with this Phil. Whether the bird looks comfortable or not is really irrelevant. This is sharp, doesn't have a distracting bg, the comp is perfect and the bird has the all important catch light in its eye. A fine job all round!

P.S. Just had a look at the link and had a flick through. I was very envious of the Bullfinch image and I hope that is your next uploadWink

This looks familiar. It's a fine image should do well however bear in mind nature pictures now are a very high standard. You said you have just started taking them at this standard well I'd be very pleased if I got an image like that.
