Greater Celandine

By Joline
This pretty weed comes up in my garden from time to time.
When looking it up, I discovered that burning the leaves and roots keeps away witches and the police!!!!!

It is used a lot in herbal medicine, but I wouldn't recommend it, it can be very toxic.

Not too worried about the witches, but will grow some to discourage the police-

a very sociable native!

This is a beautifully taken and presented image Joline. Fascinating about keeping the police away; I think neighbours (when we lived in East London) should have grown it.... say no more!!! Smile We never found out why they had several early morning visits from them....

Joline,
I can't imagine why the police would be interested in you but glad you found a viable defense. Smile
A lovely image here -- very nice comp. and I really like the framing treatment as well.
