Green eyes

By WimdeVos
A while ago at a auto show this young woman was posing for pictures so I thought I might as well take a few myself and no, this is not my daughter.
I added some noise because this is a detail from the original photo, other then that a bit of contrast and colour.

Green Eyes are less than 2 % of worlds population. They are the only eye color that changes colors.. more blue, more grey, more green depending on the weather and mood. Green Eyes are the best and rarest.

Three main elements within the iris contribute to its color: the melanin content of the iris pigment epithelium, the melanin content within the iris stroma, and the cellular density of the iris stroma. In eyes of all colors, the iris pigment epithelium contains the black pigment, eumelanin Color variations among different irises are typically attributed to the melanin content within the iris stroma.

The density of cells within the stroma affects how much light is absorbed by the underlying pigment epithelium. OCA2 gene polymorphism, close to proximal 5′ regulatory region, explains most human eye-color variation.

I have never seen eyes that green are they coloured contacts?
I have a friend who wears coloured contacts that make her eyes look violet when they are actually brown and if you didn't know her you would never guess they were not her real colour - Nice portrait I like the softness but there is a lot of noise Smile

I appreciate this was taken at a show with no chance of you directing the model but for me, the hand is a distraction and irrelevant.
The image would have been much stronger without it.
I like your composition and info. I have very green eyes that have gotten more green as I age into my 70s.
