Green Father Xmas

By oldhat
No, I have not changed the colour of the coat! This is, I understand, a traditional English Father Christmas before his coat was turned red by Coca Cola!
He's a member of a local Morris Dancing side taking part in a Mummers Play. Photographed yesterday, Boxing Day.
I tried turning the background monochrome and blurring it, but the crowd and the walls of the village pub made it look far too urban. So I transposed him to our nearby nature reserve on the day of the most snow we had last winter, 8th February.
Having done this, I thought I might use this as our 2008 Christmas card - and my wife specified a robin to perch on the brambles, bottom left. Perhaps!
