Green Parakeet

These birds are everywhere in London and, rumour has it, were first introduced in Richmond Park, London. Having no natural predator, their numbers has increased dramatically over the past ten years or so. This one was grappling his way through the wires of a feeder in the Isabella Plantation, to get some peanuts whilst keeping a wary eye on me photographing him. The last time I got this close to one was when rescuing one from another feeder where said bird had got stuck and couldn't extricate itself! This one could...

London? Really? Loads of these in Costa Del Sol.....never managed to get a shot this close though!
