I have tried to create a dramatic/striking image of a pepper using Edward Weston as my inspiration.

Hi, I look closely at the work of Edward Weston when I was at college and I can see what you are tying to achieve by replicating his work on Peppers and Egg plants, but I think there are two main areas that you should consider if you want to replicate Edward Weston's work. Firstly, his photos were always perfectly sharp, whereas you photo appears to be partially out of focus. Try using a smaller aperature to achive a greater depth of field. Secondly, Weston's photos relied upon the different tones and textures to create an image with high contrast. I think this is something that is difficult to achieve in colour. Try converting your image to black and white and start playing with the contrast. On a more positive note, I think that the lighting you have is very much in the style of weston, with the shadows and the areas of dark and light. Keep up the good work.
