Greenfinch

By Maiwand
The Greenfinch ( carduelis chloris )

Had this one hanging around in the 'to be used' file for some time and thought it was time he showed his stuff. I like him and I hope you will also.
My usual grateful and very appreciative thanks for all the c/c's given to Love in the Mist. Most generous.
I have decided to take a bit of a step back from EPZ for a while. I do not find the site as interesting and exciting as it once was so for that, and some other reasons, I will be paying only the occassional visit from time to time. I have not renewed my subscription so will therefore be reduced to just voting; I will however still vote when I look in.
I hold open the possibility of renewing in the future and hope still to hear from you when you have the time.
Regards
Ron

New image ideas and concepts show up here. EPZ is very tolerant of 'newness' so I enjoy the surprises and learn new approaches. Inspiring to say the least.
Greenfinch on broom perch is a crisp image with a pleasing pose. TG

So sorry to hear the news you have imparted up top, Ron. I so hope you will post the odd image from time to time though.
However as I am now disabling voting on my own images, I guess this is goodbye in a sense, but I thank you for your support of my own efforts thus far.
And of course today's image is so well captured and presented, innfine detail and colours.
I wish you all the best in your future endeavours.
Ronnie.

it would be a shame though (although it is always good to have a sideline to finance all those optical goodies) if you'd rather model than take these fantastic shots!!

This is a stunning bird capture Ron, with great color, composition and pin sharp too.
Sorry to hear you are stepping back but I do know how demanding it can be. Although I am retaining my membership I visit the site much less often than I used to. I still enjoy looking at all the pics but it takes up a lot of time.
All the best for your future endeavors and I look forward to have you visit from time to time. A

Fantastic.

There seems to be a thread of discontent in the comments above.
I decided not to renew my subscription last month (mainly due to connection problems with epz), but old habits die hard.
Shortly after I renewed I lost my connection for almost a week. Then my epz connection which had improved of late, went back to it's usual erratic self Sad

I totally agree with Adrian here, Ron. I will miss you and your generous comments, I have always looked forward to your uploads with a great eagerness and that I will miss greatly. Having said that I understand that things change and I think epz is sadly one of them of late. You take care & keep in touch. A truly razor sharp image to leave us with at the moment! Lou xx

Hi Ron,

I haven't been around for a while due to various reasons but by chance had a quick look around the site today. I have never met you but have to say I have always found you not only to be a fine photographer but also to be a gentleman in all respects. Your comments on my pics have always been encouraging and for that I thank you .I'm sad to hear the news but can only say I wish you well for the future, hopefully you will come back from time to time and if you don't you will be greatly missed by all.

A beautiful shot to close with, lovely detail and perch and I love the superb BG.

My regards, and thank you for your continued support since I joined the site.

Geoff.
