Ex. shot Trev ~ Nice to see a shot without all the b/g distractions. Normally I only see them when they half way up a tree and obscured with branches. Looks like this one has a cross between a Grey and a Red somewhere down the lineage line.
Spot on Eye/nose focusing. Hand held at 40th?

Lovely sharp capture Trev

Nice use of wide aperture to isolate the squirrel from it's surroundings, Trev.

Understand what you are saying Trev, have a look at my last Robin (Critique one) Geoff has put a link for the heavy support there for the cannot wait for it and the tripod..I think it is an essential for the heavy lens we also goes into a mono pod, what more could we ask? I still think this is a good squirrel shot, but with a extra bit of help..wonders never cease?? Thanks for your concern for Ted

A good sharp face, I can see the monopod came in handy when shooting at 290mm with a shutter speed of 1/40 well done.
