Guiding Light

By stevemelvin
The famous S4 streetlamp on the 199 steps at Whitby - the light that never goes out as it is used by vessels entering the harbour to navigate the safe route.

Shooting into a bright light like this often produces flare, so I tried to use it artistically to guide the eye to the bright patch of pavement in front of the bench. Does it work? Any views?

Worth a look LARGE if you've got time.

All comments/criticisms very welcome.

A well taken shot I love this. It is so inviting too. Just makes me want to go down those steps and see what is waiting. Love it.
