Gun Tower

If you ever go to San Francisco you must visit Alcatraz. I can honestly say that it is the best tourist attraction I have ever experienced; and I have seen a few. You walk around one of the cell blocks and have headphones running a commentary from the inmates as you go. Its best to book in advance as I went on the Sunday, having booked in advance and those turning up on the day could not get a booking until the Tuesday.

This is some detail from one of the gun towers on the dock where you first land on the island.

I always felt sheer amazement for the spiral staircases, I love the fact that this picture contains the element of spiral blended in vertical, diagonal and horizontal lines. Superb image, bravo.
