Gunwharf Quays

By IainHamer
This shot is the result of a 60th birthday gift and five postponed attempts to have the flight due to bad weather etc. Yesterday was a perfect day with great visibility and plenty of lift for the glider to get up to 4200 feet in the thermals. From that height you could see all of Hayling island and eastwards towards Selsey Bill and faintly through the haze Brighton.

Great experience I even managed to fly the glider for a little while on the way back towards HMS Daedalus, a former RN aerodrome, where the RN Gliding club operate from and who flew me. Many thanks to them and Richard Lovell-Butt who flew me on this experience.
