These riggers are amazing men, Carol ! This is part of a prefabricated wind generator they are erecting. They are supposed to be eco friendly, but sow devastation on the bats, bees and birds, which are killed for many miles around, due to the decompression vortices, and infrasound the giant blades make. Regards Martin

Dear Martin, I can assure you that we have hundreds of windmills behind the house. We rather live close to them then close to the nuclear power stations in France.
Here we are in a country that lives of 95% renewable energy and gives a lot of free electricity to their poor Nicaraguan neighbours , only 80kms from here

The birds are fine, see my portfolio, we have more than in France and soo many indeed that we hardly have any mandarins, papayas and sweet lemons left. Bats don't live in the windy highlands, they live in the lowlands. Zopilotes do far more damage to birds than anything else here.
Bees are coming more and more since we have banned all insecticides except the stuff to kill leaf cutters. I have made clear that all insects are welcome those that are a pest get treated with neem seed solution.
Last but not least, ICE (Instituto Costaricense de Electricidad) is the biggest employer here in the Guanacaste highlands.
